My Background

I am re-entering private consulting after a stint at Apple, Inc., where I worked as a statistician, helping to improve Apple Maps.

I started out as a physical scientist (Geology) at Princeton University, then moved into the social sciences, earning a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Minnesota.

In addition to having a consulting practice, over the years I’ve run a research institute on human resources management practices; worked at a community college analyzing student data; worked at a research and evaluation consulting firm; and taught research methods and statistics to Public Affairs masters students.

More recently, I went back to graduate school in order to improve my statistical knowledge and earned a master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota.

I have also tutored numerous students, young and old, in statistics, math, science, and writing.
